Joint Ground-Based Air Defence Command : ウィキペディア英語版 | Joint Ground-Based Air Defence Command
The UK's Joint Ground-Based Air Defence Command or Jt GBAD is a Joint Command controlled by both Force Troops Command and Air Command, controlling all the land-based surface-to-air defence regiments in the United Kingdom's Armed Forces. ==History== Previously, UK surface-to-air defence was under both the British Army Royal Artillery and the Royal Air Force's RAF Regiment. These units operated separately with different doctrines and training. With the publication of the UK's 1998 Defence Review, it was proposed that ground-based air defence would rest under a single command, and that RAF Regiment Rapier Squadrons should merge into the British's Army's regiments or vice versa. This would reduce inflexibility and increase efficiency in terms of training and command and control.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Strategic Defence Review, paragraphs 33, 34 )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The Strategic Defence Review White Paper, page 35 )〕 Following the 1998 Review, all RAF Regiment Rapier units came under several of the Army's Royal Artillery Regiments by 2003.
